sleeping in on a Sunday morn

How is it our children seem to know exactly when our opportunities are to get in a little more shut eye than normal?

As mom2amara, I typically go on 4 or 5 hours a sleep a night. And while I loathe the idea of sleeping in and wasting precious time to get some ironing done or to catch up on email or the like, there are days like Sundays where getting an extra of sleep sounds dreamy. Pun intended.

But today, my daughter came stampering into our bedroom, screaming about being scared of the dark. My dear hubby didn't move, not even a stir. I looked at the clock - 1:15 a.m. Yeah.

Then it seems even my furry daughters know when it's a Sunday.

6:45 a.m. - Lady, my Hurricane Katrina rescue dog, and Lucida, the out of control mutt, need to go outside. Again, my dear hubby doesn't bat an eye.

So here I sit, having already cleaned the spare bedroom and done a load of laundry. Mom2amara's work is never done.
