CLOSED giveaway: The Fabulous Food Show (A.K.A. Man, I Wish I Knew How To Cook)

It's no secret I'm a wannabe foodie. What this actually translates to is:
"I love to eat. And I'll eat nearly anything."
Northeast Ohio is so fortunate to have some phenomenal chefs in town. And my visits to Chicago allows me to try even more fantastic menus. But it doesn't mean that I don't wish I could cook a mean dinner once in awhile.

Enter Williams-Somoma and Sur la Table. It's like tossing me into a candy store and searching through its goodies, not know what is what. Seriously. Ask MyGotFam how mortified she was when I asked the salesperson for a "sauce brushy thing." (In case you're looking for one, apparently most people call them "basting brushes.")

But they still welcome me as one of their own. God bless those stores.

Another place that welcomes me with open arms is the Fabulous Food Show at the I-X Center.

I haven't missed one yet. But I will admit, the last two Shows disappointed me. Outside of the Main Kitchen Theatre and the By Hand Fine Art and Craft Show, I feel the level of quality exhibitors have gone down. Even the Grand Tasting Pavilion was lacking the last few years (and have you ever known me to say that about wine?!)

But this year, all chef demonstrations are included with your admission to The Fabulous Food Show. I think this will help elevate the Show again. With a down economy, paying extra to see celebrity chefs was not in my budget, and I'm sure this would help alleviate my disappointment. Next month, I'm excited to see Claudine and Jacques Pepin as well as Show regulars Michael Symon and Guy Fieri.

Hungry? Intrigued? I promise it's still a fun show, perhaps the only one I venture to the I-X Center for. Here's the 411:

  4. Favorite? It is so hard to choose! The thing I love most about food is the variety and the same is true of the chefs. Give 5 ingredients to all of them and they'll all do something different. How can you ask me to choose a favorite?

  5. Do I really have to choose a favorite? I don't know at this point. I've eaten many foods prepared by talented chefs in Cleveland...but I would like to taste more creations. Which is why I'm entering this giveaway!!! :) :)
