zoom, zoom, zoom

I feel like I need a good kick in the rear. Life's been zooming right by me.

The last 48 hours have been a blur -- with work, the new website, and Amara. Bean had a photo shoot downtown. A primary election was held in our area yesterday. My work website is up and running. And now that Dad2Amara is back in town, you know that can only mean that Amara and I are planning on leaving him at home and taking a road trip of our own!

That's right -- we're loading up the blue mom-mobile and heading to Canada. Amara and I will meet up with a ton of family for Mother's Day weekend! It's sure to be a blast!

And yes, it's probably not helping me feel like life's less hectic by picking up and heading out of town, but I really need to get away. I was hoping to hit Chi-town this spring but with only a few more weeks before summer officially begins, I think my dreams of Michigan Ave. may be just that. Dreams. But I digress. I am very overwhelmed by the amount of responsibilities I feel I have to fulfill in the next three weeks. I just hope I can live up to it all!

What are you all doing for Mother's Day? Hope you won't let it "zoom" by!
today's good: My former boss is flying cross country solo. I stumbled on that article about him and it just brings a smile to my face! I admired and respected him so much so it brings me joy to see him live out a lifelong dream!
today's bad: Well did I mention I'm fat? Yeah, not only did I have to look at the scale at the doctor's office, but now I'm feeling very uncomfortable in my skin (or should I say with all the extra skin I now have?).

  1. Sometimes you need to get away. But don't be surprised if you more tired from your trip than before you left.

For me, a vacation is not having to do anything, including travel or family...

Good luck, have fun, and be safe!

    And happy Mother's Day!
