Amara's infinite wisdom

It's been awhile since I've shared some good ol' Amara tales. I mean, that is why this blog came into existence.

So here's one to hold you over for a bit.

Amara told me tonight that there was a baby in my belly. There's not so don't start any rumors.

And knowing how insanely self-absorbed selfish my daughter's generosity can sometimes be a bit "off," I told Amara that having a baby in the house meant she would have to share.

This was her response:
Mommy, I can share my toys. And my books. And my food but not really because babies eat baby food. And my bedroom. And share you and daddy.
So I followed up her generous suggestion with the fact that if we had another child, we would have to save some money and cut back on her Happy Meal habit. Her response?
We don't need a baby, Mommy. We have a dog.
What a wise little Bean.

  1. Amara cracks me up!!! I love that she'll share everything, but her Happy Meal cash! You gotta admire a girl who has her priorities! :D

  2. Be careful! When my little niece was just turning 3, she swore up and down that she was going to have a baby brother, although my sister assured her that there were no more babies coming along! Sure enough, Abby is 4 now and has a baby sister! (Well, the baby's gender was a little off, but still, thats pretty good!)

  3. "Share you and Daddy"....Awwww!!!
