annual fall bash

My cowgirl Amara got all prettied up for our annual fall bash.

And honestly, by the time all the guests began to arrive, she was the only one in our family all put together.

With Dad2Amara out of town, I was at the grocery store Thursday night. I spent all of Friday evening cooking and cleaning.

I finally hit the sack at 4:30 Saturday morning. It's amazing. I used to get home at that hour. Now I am home. Being domestic.

I was back up and in the kitchen at 8:30 a.m. I realized I needed to go to the supermarket again. And I had to take Amara to a birthday party.

I wanted to pull my hair out.

But it was all worth it.

About 70 family and friends were in and out of the Grey House Saturday night.

We had lots of laughs. Tons of beer food.

And not one picture.

Actually I have two pictures. One is above (modified so my friend's daughter's mug isn't online without her persmission). The other is mediocre.

I forgot to use the camera the rest of the night.

Guess I was yakking it up to much. Plus my hands were filled with beer all evening long. Who can blame me?

  1. So happy to hear your fall bash was a fun time. Now go get some sleep.

    Amara looks cute!

  2. I so frequently forget to take pictures too... and when I do, I'm always behind the lens. This is a shame because when the kids look at our scrapbook albums, I'm seldom in any of the pictures!

  3. FOUR THIRTY???!!! AM???!!! Yikes! I'd have given up long before then!

I'm glad you had such a good time, and such a lot of beer. :)

  4. im so sad we werent in Ohio to come to the party - sounds like blast!
