O Christmas tree

I resisted the urge to put up Christmas decorations.

But that didn't mean we couldn't hit a local tree lighting ceremony this weekend.

Grandma and Grandpa2Amara joined us. It was cold. And the ceremony was awful. The sound system failed them. No one could hear Santa or the choir.

Dad2Amara and I had our not-so-hot cocoa.

But we had a great time.

It's hard to believe that we're a month away from Christmas Eve.

And just four days away from putting up our own tree.

I have had time to blog the last few weeks. But have been at a loss of stuff to actually write about.

And now that the holidays are upon us, I'm afraid I won't have the time to hang in the blogosphere.

But at least I'll have plenty of pictures to post.

'Tis the season.

[side note: I realized that we attended a tree lighting but I didn't take one photo of the tree!]

  1. I am resisting the urge to put up our tree. It's hard. I've been in the Christmas spirit since November 1 when we took down our Halloween decorations! :)

I skipped out on the tree lighting ceremony here Friday. TOO cold. But I did take the kids to have breakfast with Santa the week before, so I think I'm good! :)

  2. 4 more days...you can hang on until then. Love all the pictures especially of you and your husband - great looking couple! That is funny that you don't have a picture of the tree.

  3. Beautiful family pics!

I'm always excited about Christmas...I will be taking the kids to our annual Breakfast with Santa, and will even participate at the Daley Center's tree lighting.
