Zing Zang Zoom

My family needed a diversion.

So when we were invited to see Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey's Zing Zang Zoom, I was happy to oblige!

We arrived later than I would have liked. And that meant missing the huge, free All Access Pre-show on the circus floor.

Elephants came out to play soccer. Guests could try on different costumes from the Ringling wardrobe. Clowns taught children of all ages how to juggle.
I am always a huge fan of the elephants. Nothing screams circus! circus! circus! like an elephant walk.

But this year they had some amazing Russian swing performers. Imagine the swingset in your backyard growing up. Remember standing on the swing seat, thinking you could fly off the seat and land perfectly on your concrete patio? Yea, that's what they do. Only ten times bigger and better than me landing and scraping my knee.
The horses in this year's production are truly amazing. The choreography wow'd even Dad2Amara.
And Amara's favorite part involved one of the show's characters - Mr. Gravity - and the tigers. But I won't spoil the surprise for those of you who have yet to see Zing Zang Zoom.
What really made me especially happy is that Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus went back to their roots and actually did a circus without a lot of scripted lines. No story line to annoy me like last time.

And a huge thank you to Mom Central for the opportunity tonight!

  1. I'm glad to hear you had a wonderful time at the circus. We were there too! It was great wasn't it? Even better than when were kids I think, probably because watching how excited my kids were got me excited too.

I like your blog (am from the Cleveland area too!) am now following and looking forward to reading more!
