Why I Love Brunch

This past weekend, I attended United We Brunch, a new event that brought together dozens of local Cleveland restaurants.

I seriously {heart} brunch.

Surprisingly enough, I was up early last Saturday so I worked out before heading down the 5th Street Arcade. My reward? Brunch, of course!

Brunch is a time when I can hang out with my friends and talk a whole bunch of nonsense.

It's also a great time to start day drinking with (minimal) judgment. I love me some mimosas!

At brunch, there were scones and waffles (off limits for this gluten-free gal...although I may have cheated just a bit) and steak and eggs. The menu is limitless at brunch.

Some of my favorite brunch spots were there: Town Hall, Urban Farmer and The South Side. And I got to taste food from places I hadn't visited yet, like Adega.

There were so many offerings that I didn't get a chance to taste everything there. But if they make this an annual event, I'll definitely be back!

Do you brunch? Where are some of your go-to spots?

  1. That looks so cool!!! I used to love brunch, but with two kids in different activities, brunch is just not something there is time for. There is a local place that looks like they have awesome brunches that I would love to try. I don't see that happening in the near future though.

  2. So, literally the Sunday after I wrote this, I made it to brunch at the local place! You made me want it badly enough to make it happen!! I had a mimosa and pancakes and life was good....even though Sunshine spilled her water all over the entire table after I told her to stop playing with her cup b/c it was going to spill...

    1. Just reading this sounds amazing and makes me want to brunch! We should do a mini reunion and get together soon!
